Meet the authors

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, FrancescaDabecco and RossilynneSkenaCulgan grew up in different parts of the region but both found themselves so compelled by their hometown that they made careers writing about it. They combine local expertise with the spirit of discovery. With this book as your guide, you won’t miss a thing on your quest to make memories in the ‘Burgh.

Francesca is the newsletter editor for City Cast Pittsburgh. She’s also written for the Incline, NEXTpittsburgh, Pittsburgh City Paper, Public Source, TribLIVE, and All-Abilities Media. Rossilynne wrote the second edition of this book while living in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, then enlisted Francesca’s help for this edition after moving to New York City where she works as Things to Do Editor at Time Out New York. She’s written about her beloved hometown for Saveur Magazine, Thrillist, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and Pittsburgh City Paper.
